Westerly Konsort Duo - £25,000
The Westerly Konsort Duo used the same hull as the Laurent Giles designed Konsort Cruiser but attention was paid to improving the accommodation including the inclusion of the deck saloon.
The Duo has the underwater arrangement of the bilge keel version of the original Konsort and has the same sail area. It is almost 20 per cent heavier than the original Konsort but sailing performance is considerably better than that of many motor sailers. The bilge keels also have the advantage of being able to dry out upright at low water in tidal harbours. She can be steered from the wheelhouse or by tiller from the cockpit.
The present owner bought Lillebolero in Gibraltar in 2013, knowing she showed signs of osmosis and transported her back to UK. He had a complete osmosis treatment undertaken by the Hayling Island Yacht Company. This included sheathing with woven glass and epoxy resin. A survey completed in April 2014 concluded that the treatment had been carried out to a good standard. In all the boat was left to dry out for 18 months.
In her present ownership she has been well maintained and presents as being in excellent condition. Standing and running rigging was replaced in 2015.
